I have been using a rather dated computer thus far. I made it about 5 years ago.
However the other day I decided to trade out the old dual core 2.1ish GHz processor for a faster 2.8 GHz I pulled out of an old Dell XPS. I put everything together and even bought a new heatsink. I did a test boot and all was well. However when I went to migrate everything to a new case I bought (Thermaltake Commander for $40) I must have bumped or nicked the motherboard because now I cannot get the motherboard to turn on for more than a few seconds without restarting.
Anyways I decided that it was probably time to upgrade anyways and I have order some new computer parts.
I only got a new mobo, Ram, and proccessor. Since I still have a working PSU, Video card and hard drives.
ASRock P67 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
I have heard that the i5 can be overclocked to 5GHz with the right cooler. I am looking forward to that.
Also it should be quite a bit faster on boot, since I will be doing 4 drives in raid0. Yes i know that is some risky business but I sync everything that is important so I could care less. Don’t you just love Dropbox.
So today I got tired of my old email address emailscottadamsatgmail.com and decided to get a cool new email.
Thus I headed over to the godady and bought scottadams.me, and linked it up to gmail.
So my new email is scottadamsatscottadams.me
